I have been asked to teach the Power Layout Technique this winter and I’d like to invite you to join us.
What is a Power Layout?
A power layout is an assembly-line process to help scrapbookers plan an entire album (or a series of pages in succession). Following a sequence of steps, your next scrapbook album can be organized by incorporating photos, memorabilia, and scrapbooking supplies for each layout from start to finish. Having your album planned really speeds up your page completion when you sit down to scrapbook.
Why do a Power Layout?
Power layouts will help you maximize your time scrapbooking because you will have already thought about each layout — the photos you will use, the papers, stickers and embellishments, and often, a layout idea. You’ll be amazed at how many pages you can complete. This is a wonderful thing to do if you are preparing for a weekend retreat or day crop. You won’t have to pack all your scrapbooking supplies for a crop if you have already prepared a Power Layout. A few simple tools and your Power Layout Box and you will be set.
How does a virtual Power Layout work?
If you choose to join us for the Power Layout Class, I will be sending you a list of four things to do to prepare for the class. You have to commit to having these done BEFORE the class to maximize your time at the class and not hold others up. You will also receive a list of supplies to have on hand for the online class, to make your power layout more successful.
During the 3-hour Zoom call, you will actually be doing a power layout as I walk you through the steps and answer your questions along the way.
As a follow up, I will provide all participants with a pack list for a day crop/weekend retreat so you don’t over pack.
How much is the class and what’s included?
The cost to join the Power Layout class is $20 plus HST, for a total of $22.60. For this fee, you will receive a list of four tasks to complete before the class (and I’ll check in to see how you’re doing with that), a supply list of items to have on hand, plus a three hour zoom session where you and others will complete your power layout, watch videos to demonstrate the steps of a Power Layout, and your questions will be addressed along the way. After the zoom, you will receive a pack list of what to take to your next crop, including your power layout!
When is the class?
The Power Layout Class will be on zoom, Friday, Feb 20 from 1pm to 4pm in the afternoon.
If you would like to participate, please let me know by replying to this email. The first ten people to respond to this email will receive an invoice for $20 plus HST. Your registration will be confirmed once I have received your invoice payment. I will create a wait list if more than ten people want to participate. I will plan a second zoom call later in the winter if there is enough interest.
If you would like to participate but cannot attend a Zoom during the week (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm) please let me know. If there is interest, I will host an evening class as well, on Thursday, February 19 from 6-9pm.
If you have questions, just ask me:) If you want to participate, please contact with this us🙂
Scrap happy,
Maria
